In March 1983, construction was started on four of the twenty guestrooms upstairs. One comment frequently made was that the people never knew where the front door
would be next, as things were constantly changing.

In July 1983, the Brookside also received their liquor license after two years of patient waiting. Besides cocktails and beer, Kirk and Pam sell their imported wine
in their unique wine cellar. Since 1983, Pam and Kirk travel to Germany, France,
Italy, and Hungary to hand select their wines for the Wine Cellar from small family estates
that believe in quality. Pam and Kirk's aspiration is to offer wines that have never been to the United States, bringing many wines with prizes and honor.

From the onset, Pam and Kirk have wanted all baked goods to be made on premise,
from sandwich breads, cookies, pies, cakes, sandwich rolls, sweet rolls,
crepes, wedding cakes, to special desserts.

Three dining areas were added during a fourteen-year period of time, as they didn't want to make people wait for meals. |
Seating for two hundred inside helps alleviate the problem of waiting.
Outdoor dining by the brook is also an option.
Sitting under the willow trees by the brook as the local ducks paddle by
puts you in a better frame of mind.
An extensive gift shop is an added feature that Pam and Kirk wanted to bring
to the local people. As they travel, they find unique, unusual and
international items that help add to the array of local and national gifts.
